Changelog

Every release that materially changes how AccessComply scans, fixes, or bills.

We publish operational changes here when they affect merchant trust: scan coverage, fix safety, billing behavior, privacy/security controls, search visibility, or the proof merchants can use before installing the app.

  1. fix

Accuracy pass: honest counts, scores, and a recoverable upgrade

Scans now retry when a storefront temporarily throttles automated requests, instead of ending the whole scan on the first rejection. The accessibility score counts findings from every check we run, so a store with open issues can no longer show 100. "Pages checked" now reports pages we actually analyzed rather than pages we attempted, and our own scanner errors are recorded as diagnostics instead of appearing in your issue list. Issues are only labelled as having a ready fix when a fix agent can genuinely act on them. Skip-navigation links now ship with their styles so they stay hidden until focused. Merchants who leave Shopify's plan approval screen can now resume the same plan from inside the app.

  2. feature

Growth Scanner launch scope: SEO, speed, and accessibility

Reframed the product around one Shopify store-health workflow: find, prioritize, approve, save the original, fix, check, and monitor. The launch modules cover supported on-page SEO signals, source-level speed opportunities, and WCAG-mapped accessibility issues. SEO is not yet a full suite and speed does not claim field Core Web Vitals; accessibility remains the deepest fixing module.

  3. fix

    Marketing SEO and accessibility cleanup

Tightened canonical/noindex handling, regenerated sitemap + image sitemap + llms.txt, fixed inline blog diagrams, cleaned long SERP titles/descriptions, and resolved pricing-page Lighthouse accessibility issues. The goal is fewer thin indexed URLs and stronger trust signals for merchants evaluating AccessComply from organic search.

  4. feature

Search-quality pruning for long-term organic growth

Added a noindex/follow strategy for low-search-volume WCAG AAA pages, small-location templates, legacy OS 1.0 theme pages, and narrow glossary terms. These pages stay live for direct links, but they no longer dilute the indexed set we want Google and AI answer engines to evaluate.

  5. security

    Post-approval hardening

Sentry release tagging + header scrub. Per-request `x-request-id` correlation. Test-charge gating moved to a domain allowlist (BILLING_TEST_STORE_DOMAINS) — production charges fail loud, not silent. GDPR `customers/data_request` capped at 3.5s before async detach.

  6. launch

Original AccessComply release reaches the Shopify App Store

The original accessibility-focused release was published at apps.shopify.com/accesscomply. The July 16 entry above describes the current Growth Scanner scope and replaces the original product positioning; current plan terms are maintained on the pricing page and Shopify billing screen.
