SEO has eight evidence-gated families covering titles, meta descriptions, missing image alt text, canonicals, rendered indexability, JSON-LD validity, product structured data, and confirmed URL health within safe crawl scope. Speed has eleven evidence-gated synthetic families covering image loading/priority/dimensions, lab LCP/CLS/TTFB, render-blocking resources, transfer/third-party weight, and oversized images. Neither is a complete SEO suite, Lighthouse score, real-user monitoring product, or field Core Web Vitals service. - Module scores and finding counts are reported separately when measured. Unlike count types are not combined into a misleading total. - Automated scans target WCAG 2.1 Level AA and applicable WCAG 2.2 Level AA rules at desktop and mobile viewports. Results are detected findings within the scanned scope, not a complete conformance audit. - Deterministic remediation is limited to eligible, safely mapped SEO metadata, speed markup, and accessibility patterns such as contrast, labels, heading structure, skip navigation, focus visibility, and target sizing. - AI-assisted candidate generation for alt text and ARIA labels is available only on Shield and Citadel. A merchant must review and approve the generated scope before a write. - Third-party widgets, checkout surfaces outside the app's control, captions, PDFs, reading order, complex interactions, and issues requiring human judgment remain for manual review or vendor handoff. ## Plans - Free: $0; 3 app scans per calendar month, 3 eligible deterministic fixes per rolling 30 days, an accessibility statement, and supported restore records. - Starter: $49/month or $470/year; unlimited deterministic fixes, quarterly monitoring, and three-module Growth Scanner PDFs. - Shield: $99/month or $950/year; Starter features plus AI-assisted alt-text and ARIA candidates, monthly monitoring by default, and eligible product-change scans while monitoring is active. - Citadel: $399/month or $3,830/year; Shield features plus daily monitoring by default. - Paid billing and cancellation are managed by Shopify. Shopify displays the exact term, total, effective date, and any billing adjustment before approval. ## Write and Restore Safety - A completed scan never applies or queues fixes automatically. - An individual eligible theme fix can show an exact before/after candidate. Bulk and module actions show the approved scope rather than pretending to be exact per-file previews. - Merchant approvals are short-lived and bind the tenant, scan, theme or resource, selected violations, and current source state. - Supported writes record the affected source or prior value and use current-state checks to reject stale overwrites. - A post-fix check determines whether a finding was resolved; only confirmed fixes are marked resolved. - Unresolved or regressed work is marked for review and surfaces its matching restore point. Restoration always requires explicit merchant confirmation because an older value can overwrite later merchant or app edits. - Theme changes remain only in the theme that was modified and do not automatically transfer to another published theme. Shopify content changes persist in the underlying Shopify resource. The optional Theme App Extension stops when the app or embed is removed. ## Monitoring and Records - Starter supports quarterly scheduled scans. - Shield supports monthly or quarterly scans and eligible product-change scans while monitoring is active. - Citadel supports daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly scans. - Monitoring state and next-scan timing come from the authenticated store's persisted schedule. - Reports describe automated findings and recorded remediation within their stated scope. They do not establish legal or full technical conformance. ## Privacy and Retention - Shopify tokens and queued sensitive payloads are encrypted at rest. - Public lead marketing requires affirmative consent and email verification. AccessComply does not offer paid professional services through an off-platform quote form; paid app functionality is billed through Shopify. - Unverified leads are retained for up to 7 days, unclaimed public scans for up to 90 days, and first-party funnel events for up to 13 months, subject to legal and operational exceptions described in the privacy policy. - Shopify privacy webhooks support customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. ## Accuracy Limits - AccessComply does not support every Shopify theme, app, element, WCAG success criterion, document, jurisdiction, or customer journey automatically. - No automated product can guarantee accessibility, legal compliance, immunity from claims, or a particular business outcome. - Legal statistics and educational articles are general information.
